This book completely destroyed me, the love between William and Agnes and the immense grief they shared at the loss of their boy. And the differences between the two of how they dealt with their grief and then understanding and the not spoken about reconciliation. Such a beautiful story. I went in blind and not knowing what to expect and came out just on the other side. Loved 100%

So far, Hamnet has a twin sister named Judith, she’s sick, he’s trying to find help for her. No one is around except his abusive grandfather who ended up smacking him with a glass to the face when the grandfather asked him for help. He ran to grab the doctor, but he’s busy seeing another patient, he’ll come by the house when he’s done

They fixed a wall, El has an alliance with Liu and Aaydarh. She’s going down the graduation hall with Orion to fix something in there that no adults could fix with a bunch of top senior students. It’s getting a bit exciting now, but it’s not my normal romantasy

The school is complicated, and not what I expected. I was thinking maybe like a Hogwarts scenario, but it’s the total opposite, with things coming at you all the time, it’s survival of the fittest really. The dynamic between Galadriel and Orion is interesting, why he’s kinda obsessed with her but not, and she couldn’t care at all, she has this huge power that could potentially turn her into an evil wizard.

Hmmm that was interesting between Mara and Kitt. The dynamics between the two was very interesting. It was a bit of a slog to get through, but I enjoyed it in the end

Kitt, Kai and Pae head to loot to announce their engagement and get bombed. This is all kitts doing. He sees Mara in the coach. He’s gone crazy already.
Blair and Lenny are still not getting on, Lenny has a plan to get Blair killed by Pae so Blair can flee. Blairs mum walks into her room, yelling her disappointment and slaps Blair. Blair won’t open up to Lenny

Interesting start with Blair and Lenny and Mara and Kitt. Mara is death herself. Kit is slowly dying from the plague he drank willingly. Lenny is Blair’s guard cause Paedyn is back and Blair needs protection. It’s intriguing at the moment.

Kai killed Kitt on the night of his and Paedyns wedding. Kitt had gone crazy and wanted to make the plague happen all over again, in other parts of the world. He had taken a second dose and it was his demise. His mind was being ripped apart. Kai married Pae under the willow in the rain/storm, where Kitt and Ava are buried with the people that loved them, Ellie, Gail, Andy, jax. It was so them

She ends up going through kitts mums jewellery box, only to find love notes and an old rose. Callum steps in to take her to Loot, but she happened to find a photo of the queen who looks exactly like pae. Callum is her dad, he is also Eric the kings silencer and mind reader, an ended up killing her dad. The queens had an affair and produced Pae and died during child birth

The next day was the wedding. Callum walked her down the aisle, she couldn’t find kai in the crowd ended up marrying Kitt, only to finally walk out the throne room and kai was there ready to interject. He was too late. She headed back to her room to change for her second wedding. Kitt is sick, but no one knows.

It wasn’t kai she killed it was Mak, but Kitt had an illusionist use his magic so she and everyone else thought it was Kai. The night before her wedding she was supposed to have dinner with Kitt which was 3 days after the last trial. She ended up fleeing cause she had a panic attack about the wedding only to run to the willow where kai was. They spent the night together, and finally broke and slept together

Pae got through two more trials. On a boat to the shallows to mend there bond between izram. Kai obvs went with her, on their way home a giant creature nearly crushed the ship. Pae ended up killing the beast herself. They made it home. Her third trial was a fight in the bowl against someone with all powers it ended up being kai. She killed him, but with a twist

Kitt proposed to Pae as her betrothed. She has to get through triad for the elites to like her. She just brought back the crown from the first queen who was buried in a cave within the scorches under a trapped door she fell through. She killed 3 bandits to retrieve it and had a time limit. And got back in time. They’ve just had a ball and she got drunk and danced with both Kitt and Kai.

As they were headed through, they found a lake, they swam and kissed, were honest about their lives. Found proof of what ordinaries are and that they aren’t a plague. Pae found out that her dad is not really her dad. They’ve just made it to the field and they are currently dancing among the red and orange poppies. Their last night before they head back to Ilya. Pae cut her hair. Kai got hurt in the shoulder

Pae and Kai are chained together and are in the sanctuary of souls. They danced and have discussed a lot of personal stuff like Kai’s sister and why Pae doesn’t have powers when she should actually be a mix of an elite and an ordinary

They made it out, there was a grate that they pushed through, Pae nearly drowned not before Kai saved her then sunk to the bottom himself. Pae jumped back in and saved them both. Then he chained her to him, ankle to ankle. They just made it to an inn

They escaped,l the cell, but now are in a sewer tunnel that they can’t escape and pretty much ran to the end of it only to find a wall at the end. They share a last kiss with the freezing cold water rising above their collar bones and guards behind them. It’s too late

Pae made it to Dor, Kai finds her, takes her back then they get ambushed on the way back to Ilya by what’s left of the resistance which is Lenny, Finn and Leena. They head back to Dor when Kai and Pae get taken by Rafael who has locked them in a prison that is about to be flooded by a sewer.

Adena died in the last trial in the middle and was taken for no reason, the king just took her. Mak watched from the stands, Pae fled. I’m sad

Adena has been locked in the dungeons for no reason after the last ball, she was supposed to go back to Loot to be with Mak, he’s waiting for her. He’s going to surprise her tomorrow and watch the trials with her. Adena fingers are all broken. This was the kings order. He’s an asshole

Paws left for the trials, A has been taken by another phaser, who needs her help to say goodbye to Hera another teen who got taken into the purging trials.

Pae killed the king, realised Kai killed her dad. She’s on the run, when she’s about to leave when Kai enters her home and she hides in the chimney. Kais now the enforcer and is on his first mission to find her and bring her to the king who is Kitt. And he’s mad as!

Pae found the king and they’ve fought she nearly died, she fought and won against him. Not before finding out that Kai killed her father not the king. It was a kai’s first kill

The resistance has come through and are now wreaking havoc on everyone. Kai resists a silencer then burns them alive. Pae runs back to the castle to get healed and to retrieve her vest Adena made for her. She’s headed back through the tunnel back to Loot, when she stumbles into the king and they’ve just started to fight
