It felt like there were chapters skipped. The plot develops super quick. The plot point that convinced me to read it either never occurred or.. it occurred so quickly that I couldn’t recognize it for what it was. He just randomly shows up at her family event and they have sex in the side room? Then they’re accepting if their mutual attraction to each other?

Still no flower crown scene but Layala is feeling Thane’s emotions in the bond at least 😊

The flower crown scene is so close yet so far. The fact that homeboy is already down bad says a lot. Tbh Layala has fallen in love before so maybe that’s why she didn’t feel the pull of love that Thane does so intensely. She still is drawn to him. I feel like revealing that they’re “fated mates” early doesn’t spoil the entire idea. I don’t hate it in this book just when authors force it.

There’s something called “the games” maybe that’s the event where he publicly gets her to sit on his lap 🤭

We found out he’s been in love with her since he first felt their bond.. I’m kind of into it 🫣 she hates his guts though and is carrying this enemies to lovers

It’s kind of good so far. I’m feeling it more than direbound that’s for sure.

Him denying his feelings for her is the typical trope so it’s not surprising tbh.

First, the guy is instantly attracted to her due to her looks and vice verse. That’s fine when it first starts but he somehow realizes that she is his subordinate… fair. She talks about signets. The word or concept isn’t foreign.. happy to hear about signets! But miss girl please be fr.. she gives her a wind signet. Her name is Windward okay.. it was meant to be. But she’s a mind reader aka an inntinnsic 🙄

This is giving fourth wing fanfic. It’s kinda bad.

It’s a tragedy that I haven’t gone back to this book since day 2 that I was listening to it 🙃 I’m gonna finish the book since it’s only a 3 hour read but it’s not my cup of tea.
