I’m taking a small break from it. Been listening to it for two full days while listening to TD. But the worm things are the reason people have been getting infected as a plot update.

It’s slowing down for me just a bit. There’s 10 hours left. I like the mystery but I do feel it’s starting to drag with little plot occurring. I personally would like more interaction between Juliette and Roma. But I’m willing to wait and be patient. If we get to 5 hours and they haven’t interacted again.. I may have to reconsider finishing. They had 2 interactions thus far, but too few for my liking.

Gonna take a break from this book. From October 1st to 31st.

Almost done with part 1. I feel like it’s gonna end cliff hangery like book 1 where Poppy witnesses the Duke’s death and all that.

Chapter 13 is the chapter I’ll be at when I restart. Idk it seems interesting enough to continue. But this is the slowest I’ve read a series that I actually had interest in. The premise is good, the story is just insanely slow.

I would give it a solid 3 stars so far even though the action scenes bore me as well 🙃

I’ll update next month.

She’s now in the Kijari(?) and she’s trying to get to the top floor.

I’m slowly coming around to them being engaged. I know they’re faking for now. But Casteel is certainly being fr. Poppy is deeply attracted also.

I need him YEARNING for her. All the pieces are right there 😩

Not him suggesting they start having sex just because they’re mutually attracted 🤣

The plot is decent.. I’m listening and studying

I’ve restarted the first chaptwr 3 times 😭.. hopefully the plot picks up when she goes to fight.

It’s more interesting than the crowns of Nyaxia 🫪

So… he makes out with her in the woods she magically forgives him because she’s in love?? Then they go back to his home?? Girl please. Stand up 😩

He’s an Atlantean not a wolven.. my bad 😬

I’m not on board for him catching her by the hair though after she ran though. Like yeah she stabbed you in the heart.. but did you die?? No 🙄

Then he chose to drink from her?? And made her horny?? Huh?? 😭

It’s dragging. I might be in a reading slump lowkeyyyyy 🫣

Someone mentions that the FMC makes stupid and random choices. Sigh. I agree. She saves Thane from being captured. Why did he think it was a good idea to reveal his entire plan to his literal enemy?

So.. Thane gets captured 8% before the book ends. It’s giving they plan to milk the ending for book 2

Ngl the English accents are hitting.. I’m almost done and I haven’t even read it for a full week of listening time 😩

Thought I gave an update.. the plot twist is good. I thought he was a craven but it turns out he’s a wolven didn’t know wolves would be in this universe. Hawk is 200??

I predicted at the beginning of the book that her love interest would be the mysterious prince. Still hasn’t come true (yet). And the ascended become craven??

I was gonna DNF but the narrator is one of my faves from Avalon Tower ☺️
