Ayyyyyy!! Meant to update like 9 hours ago. A lot has occurred but the author has kept us FED with Juliette and Roma scenes. Including them embracing (as a facade) on the streets. Someone put a hit on them and they’ve been dodging so far. But it’s group after group that’s going after them. The money must be long to put a hit on both crown heirs of prestigious gangs.

It’s getting good!! Ooo 😛

Being fr though. They danced together, set up a meeting between the gangs then Roma’s sister got infected.

I finally made some progress on this book yay!! ☺️

Dragging……. But Tbf I finally finished Brennan’s chapter and got to Mira. So excited to hear Xaden again. As well as Imogen’s.

Took a small break and came back. They saw each other. He snuck an invitation from her pocket (instead of the drawing of the monster k-wording people) and I assume he’s gonna use it to get close to her again. The romance is very subtle BUT Juliette is supposed to hate Roma for “betraying her” we still don’t know what he did. But it had to be bad for her to leave Shanghai and ignore him for 4 years.

I’m taking a small break from it. Been listening to it for two full days while listening to TD. But the worm things are the reason people have been getting infected as a plot update.

It’s slowing down for me just a bit. There’s 10 hours left. I like the mystery but I do feel it’s starting to drag with little plot occurring. I personally would like more interaction between Juliette and Roma. But I’m willing to wait and be patient. If we get to 5 hours and they haven’t interacted again.. I may have to reconsider finishing. They had 2 interactions thus far, but too few for my liking.

Gonna take a break from this book. From October 1st to 31st.

Almost done with part 1. I feel like it’s gonna end cliff hangery like book 1 where Poppy witnesses the Duke’s death and all that.

Chapter 13 is the chapter I’ll be at when I restart. Idk it seems interesting enough to continue. But this is the slowest I’ve read a series that I actually had interest in. The premise is good, the story is just insanely slow.

I would give it a solid 3 stars so far even though the action scenes bore me as well 🙃

I’ll update next month.

She’s now in the Kijari(?) and she’s trying to get to the top floor.

I’m slowly coming around to them being engaged. I know they’re faking for now. But Casteel is certainly being fr. Poppy is deeply attracted also.

The plot is decent.. I’m listening and studying

I’ve restarted the first chaptwr 3 times 😭.. hopefully the plot picks up when she goes to fight.

It’s more interesting than the crowns of Nyaxia 🫪

So… he makes out with her in the woods she magically forgives him because she’s in love?? Then they go back to his home?? Girl please. Stand up 😩

I’m not on board for him catching her by the hair though after she ran though. Like yeah she stabbed you in the heart.. but did you die?? No 🙄

Then he chose to drink from her?? And made her horny?? Huh?? 😭
