I DNF’d not just this book, but the series, ngl… I’m sure I’ll pick it back up at some point when the FOMO kicks in, but might also skip straight to Silver Flames. That being said, I also think I’m done with vulgar gestures and poor writing permanently.

Is Sarah J Maas totally against descriptions like “flipped the bird” or “gave him the middle finger” or something?
It’s stuff like this that makes this a less enjoyable reading experience, no matter how silly and trivial it might seem. You can’t be afraid to let a character tell another to “f off” with their finger but be ok with spice… or am I just finicky?
