Incredible! The subtle shift of Jennette’s mom from when she gets sick to throughout the book is done beautifully. He abuse so subtle that you only catch glimmers of it from Jennette and she doesn’t even recognize it.

Really really good so far. Wonderfully written and descriptive by the author. I feel like I’m in India with the child and the historical context written in is brilliant
