Still having a hard time getting invested in any of the characters, but will persevere...

Finding this very slow-going. Just ready to start chapter 8 and hoping it starts drawing me in more...

Oh, I hate when this happens! On p.300 Belinda removes her hat, but on p.304 Nicholas "plucked off her hat" - things like that just pull me right out of the moment - do I blame my good memory or the author?!

A lot of people really like this author, and this book was recommended to me. After the first 2 chapters, I was feeling let down, but things started happening in Chapter 3, so I'm looking forward to the battle between Nicholas & Belinda - "This means war" (Nicholas). "Then war it is" (Belinda)

After encountering Mac in The Mystical Warrior, I just had to go right to his book instead of the one I planned on reading next!

Ms. Feehan makes the marsh & the swamp sound absolutely beautiful, but I have no desire to ever go there, even without the alligators!

I've had serious eye problems all my life, but had never heard of lattice dystrophy. Makes me so grateful that my problems were more easily resolved than Carly's. She's got serious work ahead - and un unplanned pregnancy just made things worse!
