After the ending of the trial, I felt the book taper off. I was ready for this to be a bit boring to the end and that’s honestly where it felt like it was heading.

Somehow the last page of the 2nd chronicle has flipped it on its head and I’m ready for the last chronicle to be the best part of the book. I really hope it is so.

Man…..I love the exchanges in McCarthy’s writing so much. Especially the ones that Chigurh has with literally anyone in the book.

The ending of the main story I can’t lie felt a bit flat footed but I like where it is now with Bell and his uncle.

I am simultaneously enjoying this book just as much as the movie but also realizing there is quite a few plot holes which make no sense.

Yet despite that, this is still an amazing read so far. Much easier to read than Blood Meridian. I really really enjoy Bell’s monologues between chapters. Chigurgh is an amazing antagonist
