Heather is on page 77 of 293 of More Happy Than Not
I'm not sure whether I am simply not interested in the POV of this teenage boy, or if this book is just boring, but I give up.

"In business, you must assume that everyone is rooting for you." In a job interview, the interviewers want you to do well so that they can hire the right person for the job. When you're giving a speech, the audience wants to be entertained.

Explains why people stick even harder to their beliefs in the face of uncertainty. Not the most entertaining read, but very insightful.

Disjointed. Too difficult to follow. Not worth the effort.

This is a book of short stories, of which I am not a big fan. That said, the title story was awful! I was so disappointed. The second story was a little better, though, about a woman who is unable to have children.

Kudos to Little, Brown and Co. for the high quality paper! That's not something you see very often anymore.

Consciousness is like the CEO of the brain: it leads all of the sub-processes but doesn't necessarily know exactly what they are doing or how they are doing it. Most processes are automatic and only enter our conscious minds when problems occur (or expectations are violated).

"At least 15 percent of human females possess a genetic mutation that gives them an extra (fourth) type of color photoreceptors." We finally learn that there really are differences between those two identical colors- just ask her!
