I enjoy the prose; simple and easy to understand while still being captivating and immersive. The flashing back to the past, then zipping back to the present as we progress through the chapters is an intelligent choice too. It allows us to read two different sides of the spectrum regarding the relationship between Eli and Victor, wondering to ourselves what went wrong between them
