I've been reading the Outlander series for so many months (9 straight!) I'm completely disconnected from what's new and amazing. Help!! What's the must read series right now?

Series is best, because I leave for a cruise next week and want to have a couple books downloaded before I go.

I've been skimming for half the book. I just can't get over how over the top and cheesy the dialogue is. No 20-something male talks like that. Debating if I should just DNF where I am or skim to the end.

Not sure how I feel about yhe actual writing style in this one. I definitely prefer actual dialogue rather than a dialogue recap. I guess it works better for moving the timeline along as quickly as it's going.
