I don't get all the bad reviews on this book, as I'm really enjoying it. The author is a literary genius and it is such sweet pleasure to read his words.

Jane Meredith's book Journey To The Dark Goddess was life changing for me. Now, going through some difficult times, I feel this book will have a big impact on me as well. I certainly need the healing energy of Aphrodite right now, and I have come to love Jane's books as the ultimate resource for embracing aspects of the Goddess.

I am really struggling to get through this book, it reads like a high school students essay. So repetitive and shallow, that it is hard to even stay focused on what I am reading. I like to finish what I start, but I'm beginning to wonder if this book is even worth my time.

Going back for seconds with this book. This is one novel that genuinely scares me. A great read for a dark and stormy night.

I rediscovered Witch while looking for books written by Australian witches. I had wanted to read this, way back when it first came out in the 90's, but never got hold of a copy. Just a few pages in and I am finding it very refreshing. Forget all that fancy traditional stuff, Witch is inspiration for a realistic, modern day, solitary practice. Enjoying it so far.

Can be a bit drawn out in places, but on the whole is not bad. The introduction to Norse mythology is good. My pantheon is Greek, but I've been looking to expand my knowledge. Goth Magick had been a good base for that.

A few pages in, and Humbert is describing his lust and attraction for his 'nymphettes'. Even though the actual reality of the subject matter is repulsive, it is the launguage that draws you in, that makes it beautiful. What a strange paradox.

I read this years ago, and loved it then, so I'm ready for a refresher. If you put aside all judgements and just take the story for what it is, the controversy melts away, you are left with a good story and the depth of the characters. Can't wait to get started.

Shaping up to be a very worthwhile read. I have taken a lot from this already. There are numerous practical exercises for further development. The first section is a bit of a revision on the basics, but not so basic that I am back to reading about 'the witches tools' and such. A book that surpasses the many Wicca 101 books and actually had something worthwhile to say.

This book is scaring the hell out of me! Reading this alone at night makes me nervy. I'm jumping at little noises and feel very uneasy. I thought that kind of reaction was long behind me. I'm not easily scared, but there is just something about this book and it's escalating level of dread. So, yeah, I'm loving it!

I can't get into this book. It is predictable and a bit boring. I'll get through a chapter or two, then my mind begins to wander off. Not much depth to the characters either, I just don't care what happens to them. I'll be surprised if I even finish this book.
