I'm having a hard time with this book. I'm getting snippets of understanding at least of the chronology of events during the reign of James, but most of this book so far has been hard to understand or envision. The author wants you to be impressed with his English vernacular. This does not appear to be written for Americans.

Jon is on page 340 of 672 of Rebel Yell: The Violence, Passion, and Redemption of Stonewall Jackson

Very solid book so far. S.C. Gwynne is exactly kind of author I enjoy reading. Well researched and enthralling in detail. My next review will be the entire book.
