I'm having a hard time with this book. I'm getting snippets of understanding at least of the chronology of events during the reign of James, but most of this book so far has been hard to understand or envision. The author wants you to be impressed with his English vernacular. This does not appear to be written for Americans.

I received this book for free through Goodreads Firstreads. I am very much looking forward to beginning it this evening.
