I feel deep sympathy for the narrator and main character, Galla. It's not easy to have a tender heart among harsh, broken people.

Starting with the intro is a must for this book.

I’m not done yet but I know I’m going to have to reread this one almost immediately after I finish.

First chapter was delightful. The book is set between 1AM-4:30AM over a series of nights and I love that.

I don't want this book to be over. It's so joyful and mocking and intensely funny. Such a rare novel.

A touch cozy but with knife blades hidden in each carefully folded piece of linen. Comyns with a soupçon of Dodie Smith.
