I’m sure I’ve read this before

This book is so good but there is a major error that is so hard to ignore… the Earl of Braxton, a member of the British artistocracy could not have inherited a title from his father who was a groom. His mother’s family was aristocratic so he would not have inherited a title when his father died. I cannot believe this made it through editing.

Got a few dozen pages in and read the word “niggardly” now can’t continue

I expected a totally different style of book than this was. This was a complex, compelling and strong novel. By the title and cover I was expecting pure fluff.

I want to give this book a standing ovation. Amazing. Compelling and tough.

Dark, compelling and uniquely written. I love a good anti-hero.

Love it already

It is surprising me to that ANOTHER book about WWII and nazis could feel unique but this one does. Beautiful book, told from a completely new perspective. I couldn’t put it down.

Fantastic book of pieces of Canadian life. Moving, clear and interesting! Loved the part about the Nelson area Dukhabours. Great book.
