Weird. You read a story because it’s entertaining. And yet you want the happily ever after. But if it was happily ever after, it would be boring. But still. And it’s of course ambercrombie so people are going to die

Bad things are happening to characters you like. It’s so well written but you want a happy ending. Then you remember who the author is
