Ughh, I don't know if I'm gonna make it. This shit is as dry as a desert and so am I☹️ Would it kill the author to use some adverbs? Was this written by AI?

Uhh.. I think I made a mistake. I don't really know what's happening. I was recommended this book because it has the romance tropes I like. Maybe starting a series at book #12 was a bad idea. I'm too impatient to read books 1-11. I'll keep going but I can't promise I'll finish.

I hope to revisit and restart after a break. I'm struggling to follow the thread and I just keep getting confused.

Oops, when I said Inquisitor I meant Brother Hopkins ..

The Decon and Inquisitor look too much alike. Their faces are different enough but everything else, hair color, skin color, outfits, build, silhouette are all too similar. Maybe it's for a reason..?

The book is great but the hypocrisy is enough to make me want to rip my hair out. Everyone should give this good a shot, it illuminating, but take your time and have something light to read in-between breaks.

I think I need to take a literature course with this book because I am so lost.

So far, this book reads like a witness testimony. No emotion, no reaction, just factual observations and memories of events as they happened in the past.

The woman is a trope of the Manic Pixie and Damsel in Distress, she never requires more than what the main guy character can provide.

It's still early days, hope things change soon...
