Pick back up at chapter 23 from PPL

This was a book club selection per my suggestion, via Roni and John Burrows from Library BOT. Couldn't get into it! Putting it down at chapter 66, page 258.

Pausing at pg 116 to put aside for book club selection. Worth picking up to continue reading and finish, but it may be a while before I can do so.

Initially started reading during the summer of 2025. Was out of season and some of us couldn't get into it. Paused to pick up again later, but as of December 2025, we haven't and I doubt we will. Didn't grab me enough to keep in my inventory. Left off at page 256.

I listened via Audible (and was not following!) until this chapter:

At this point, I got the hard copy and began again from the beginning.

I give up. I'm throwing the towel in. There's never been a Jodi Picoult book I haven't loved and it's rare that I quit on a book without finishing. But I just can't do it. I can't get into this one. The modern day story is more engaging to me than the historical fiction. Still, I'm not enjoying it whatsoever and am moving onto something I enjoy picking up.

Had to put aside to read the current month's book club selection. Pick back up again from WPL at Chapter 23. Definitely want to finish!

Temporarily pausing to read this month's Book Club selection. Enjoying it very much and do want to pick it back up to finish.

Read in response to Aanchal/mentor recommending. Renewed multiple times until I couldn't anymore. Never got into it.

I’m putting this down without finishing because despite trying, I can’t get into it. I’m at page 199 and I feel like I don’t know what I’ve read. Other book club peeps feel the same.
