So started off with a heavy Daddy Long-Legs/Jane Eyre vibe. Not bad, just...obvious. And then something exploded! And now we're traveling inside a heart? Hmmm...

I am not ready for this book. I like to use it as a reference guide (yay for sushi socks!), but I am not ready for Kondo's "all or nothing" approach just yet.

I was getting close to writing this book off. This moment right here is where it hooked me.

Dunno about this one. When writing a prequel, please remember to keep your timelines straight. Next thing: holy exposition, Batman! Cross may have lost me with Griffin's back story: all told in 1-2 pages of exposition that strained my suspension of disbelief.

Hmmm,...not sure if I'll be able to continue with this book. I love the TV show, but the book is a bit much -- like watching the show too loud, too saturated with color, too much sugar and caffeine.

On page 102, and I'm stuck. I've actually been stuck for some months now. I started reading this as a distraction from stress, but that didn't work out well as these characters continually infuriate me. Maybe now that my personal life is less stressful, I won't hate them so much.

Both of my favorite lines so far are about Lydia.
