Stopped 40% through to read a lighter book and I can't believe there's 60% more left. The first 40% was ok (I take it the author typically writes these sad but sweet stories), but it just feels like it should be over already. 😅 Honestly I'd probably DNF this if it wasn't for book club.

I think fans of "Lessons in Chemistry" will like this book, soon to be a show by Amy Poehler.

The setting is basically our world, plus witches try to fight climate change while the non-magic people keep proliferating climate destruction that causes major storms.

Teenage FMC has the most power of her generation and doesn't want to use it because it has killed people she loves. It's set in a magical academy that wants to force FMC to use her power to...save the whole world, how dare they. Very angsty.

Definitely a page turner! Stayed up reading 146 pages the first night 😅

DNF. I don't recommend the audiobook
