loving it.

I feel like a fly inside an desi household that never fails to disappoint with its retorts and street smart characters

I read the book,life happens, i drop it out of no choice, i pick it up again, i reread the same pages and the loop repeats.

The way Louisa describes her friend who’s no more, i understand what Fredrik Backman means to many.

I have protected my peace so much that i miss people being just there, as in the cafe trio here.

Enjoyed how they found the bookseller’s recipe from the dead wife but would have been more impressive if they were to recreate it themselves only with clues, instead of partially with clues.

I was intrigued by the title of the book. Plot doesn’t surprise but this is just what i was hoping and hence I’m happily in.

I would have left it midway if it weren’t an audiobook

Unreliable narrater? Yet to find out. Very excited!

I remember the author Naseef as an always-smiling second year student, active in the college union, back when I was working as a guest lecturer at Kondotty Government College in 2019. At this year’s KLF, I saw him seated at the author-signing section, surrounded by readers and well-wishers and felt a second hand pride.

The one I hold close to myself is ‘Here, Which is Nowhere.’
(Note to myself- i should probably read short stories less. I really don’t feel good about all the stories that i miss just because the story explored another possibility of the character, like it should be, ideally. mea culpa. I’m stupidly ambitious like that)
