The story is well paced. There are a lot of characters, but they are all interesting. There’s action and intrigue.

I love a book that starts out with some excitement! The main character is likable and draws you in. At each moment of the story the author provides enough context to understand the moment and simultaneously build the world. I’m enjoying this book!

This is a good book for kids, entertaining for adults. It’s wonderful to think about people who found freedom.

Welp, one chapter in and we are off to a great start. I am already very interested in learning more about Gesela. I like when a book begins with a little action.

I am enjoying the book. I love a female protagonist that learns she has more to offer the world. The pacing matches the character development and the world building. All of the characters are relatable and many are likable. There are moments of humor and a few plays on words. It’s engaging and I’m so glad I’m reading this!

I was hooked from page 1, but the first few pages were so very disturbing.
