I'm halfway trough chapter 49 and just realized I've spent the past 10+ hours rolling my eyes and wishing some characters would shut up.

The lack of unnecessary drama in this book is one of it's best qualities.

Must every romance novel have that infuriating part where the protagonists get mad at each other because of a secret? So much that you have to pull out this kind of unreasonable stuff just to have it?

Oh for goodness sake, you know each other for what? A month? Two? That's not enough for him to start trusting you and telling you all of his secrets, and how is revenge worst than being used to enter society, they are both very crappy reasons, why are you mad now?

Why is it that the Cinderellas in all the retellings i've read lately are so bad at keeping themselves presentable, even when they aren't doing anything, food and dirt just magically appears on their clothes, can we stop this? Please?

If i roll my eyes a bit more i think i'll dislocate them.
