I didn't want to go to sleep last night! I NEEDED to know what was going to happen next. Unfortunately, TJ turned off the lights and told me to suck it up. Easy for him to say... He's already read this book.

I loved how this book started: a failed attempt to assassinate a sunmage. The girl is a wraith, a shadow kin, and she can become insubstantial, walk right into your home and kill you while you sleep. But the sun depletes her of her powers, and the sunmage calls sunlight and holds her in place. And thus the adventure begins!

Oh wow, so heart wrenching and beautiful. Much like everything else I've read by Laure Halse Anderson.

Such a cute sweet story.

2nd time through this series.

I think this one is even better than the last one!

Karma. Not many urban fantasy books deal with this subject.

Beautiful, haunting writing. Interesting character. Intricate world.

I started this book and then picked up & finished two others before finishing this one. It's not bad, but I'm not really sucked in.

"You're not him anymore, I have to remind myself. You're not there. And then I think: What have I done?"

Beautifully told. I love the two perspectives.

The first 4 pages were rough, hard to get into, but it's already starting to become more intersting. I like Perry.

Cute. Sweet. I love the interactions between Ariel and her adopted father Scarl.

Wow. Just wow. Love the world & character building. Love the details.

Halfway through, and it's starting to get good. I mean the candy was interesting, but now that Trevor has been kidnapped and put inside a mirror, the stakes have really gotten higher.

My daughter recommended this to me, and I'm loving it so far. Great MG read with a well-developed world.

The name "Terrible" is an awesome name for a character.

However much I love Devon Monk, I'm having a hard time getting into this book. I don't often mind multiple POV's, but at this point, I'm only interested in 2 of them and wish there wasn't as much jumping heads.

Reading this one with my daughter. It's a rather slow start before we get to the interesting candy shop, but I think things will only get better from here.

I'm really excited about this installment in this series!

Cute. Interesting. This is an obvious retelling of Cinderella. However, I'm not sure Cinderella & her fairy godmother are the good guys... er, gals.
