The book is really good so far . My only question is , did the author make the main characters inner voice so juvenile on purpose?

So far I like it . Is she a likable character? Not really. Can I do without all the boring math ? Absolutely. Yet , this book is keeping me interested.

Everyone in this book is completely self absorbed. There isn’t a single person that I like yet , I’m interested in the story

I am endlessly annoyed by these two yet want to finish the book.

Good so far . Interesting and I am really getting a sense form how these women lived independently in a time when very few women could.
A little too much politics for my taste but it doesn’t take much away from the book . I just skip ahead a few paragraphs.

Being older it’s hard for me to remember what it’s like to be a teenager. I find myself angry at the kids in this book . I find myself feeling sympathy for Mr Griffin.

This book sucked me in right away.

The description of the Bonsnian village and its inhabitants by Joan is rubbing me the wrong way . It comes across stuck up and imperialist . Maybe that was the intent?

This book is keeping interested. There is a slight frustration in things not being explained, I guess the author assumes the reader has a knowledge of British military and politics? Still overall a good read

Why does it seem the author is blaming the victim?

This book is such a Hollywood biography, full of problems And experiences the average person could never understand. It’s also slightly self indulgent but, this is an honest book . She tells the good and bad from her perspective.
I also admire the fact she doesn’t trash her past partners.
