The Mummy (Brendan Fraiser and Rachel Weisz) is one of my all time favorite movies. Thus far, we are sans mummies, but Ellie is Evie. I LOVE IT. There's even a line about fairy tales and hokum in here.

I won't lie... this book has made me aware of ideals and teachings that are still being taught today and it absolutely makes me see red. I can't imagine teaching my teenage daughter these things and when I go look up some of the books they've talked about and see that they're in the top 30 on Amazon for nonfiction in girls and womens issues... it's terrifying.
