I love Alexis Hall, but so far, this is an exceptional modern retelling of Melville's Moby Dick. Down to the really awful, rambling, overly philosophical soliloquy. So in that sense, a victory! And also, I'm struggling to read this one, too!

So far, very sweet. Edgar's awkwardness is endearing and the chemistry is lovely. "Frisson" has been used at least three times, which is the worst thing I can say so far!
