I actually enjoyed this book. I didn’t think I would because of the majority of the story was in the dead woods and with Gothel’s evil mother at the beginning. However, I loved the development of the relationship between the three sisters, Sir Jacob and the inward battle Gothel goes through to gain her mother’s powers and her great love for her sisters. It truly makes the Rapunzel story take on new depth.
