Actually really loving this so far. I’ve never read one of her books before. But it’s softer and more accessible and funnier than I thought it would be and I love the theory so far.

I've looked forward to this next story for 4 years. This world is such a creative place, and the concept of the Bobs is just so original. Start at the first book, if you are going to dive in. "We Are Many, We Are Bob". It's sci-fi, science, philosophy, humanity, adventure, exploration, and it's also really funny. Great premise. Highly recommend. Awesome narrator as well!

I'm really trying with this one. I need to just make it the only book I'm listening to and get into it. I've heard it's hilarious and fun.

Absolutely fascinating. I love the parts where we hear the author have an actual session. It just makes so much more sense in action.

Reddit is in LOVE with this series. I'm having a hard time getting into it. It is a RPG book and is supposed to be hilarious. I need to just make it "the book" I'm reading and commit. I have a hard time thinking it will be funnier than Yahtzee Crowshaw's books, but we'll see.

Interesting concept of a troop of aliens that wipe out civilizations' monetary systems and make it so you have to use their "money" to buy their products. It's funny and fast paced with some action in between. Narrated hilariously. There is probably a capitalism/socialism/communism message coming. Good so far!

Clyde is being used by his "girlfriend" for money, we find out about where his sister ran off to, and driving stolen/borrowed cars fast leads to bad outcomes. Michael Ian Black is narrating this beautifully and I'm having a great time!

So good! Great sequel to the amazing 'Parts Work'. Explains in greater depth the Internal Family System Model of how you brain works and how you can be in better control.

Listening to Michael Ian Black read this on his podcast called obscure, this is a novel about what it’s like to be very poor in the 1920s and then have one member of the family come into just a tiny bit of money. So far that’s what it’s about. I’m sure more tragedy will occur. I like it so far.

Very interesting concept, well narrated by Will Wheaton. How can an animal so big exist and not collapsie in on itself? Well, it’s nuclear powered somehow. Evolution has gone crazy in this fast-paced and interesting, funny adventure novel

Narrated by Wil Wheaton, this story begins with our protagonist being laid off from his dream job and taking up delivery driving for that same company. He gets a work opportunity (rare, since the pandemic is coming) and takes it. It is full of secrecy and tons of immunizations. So far, very fast paced and funny!

JUST started this with Michael Ian Black on the fourth season of the wonderful podcast Obscure. The book is very good so far, beginning with a story of a family of poor, religious proselytizers who beg for money just to cover their costs. Their son, Clyde, though, is not thrilled to be a part of this and wants more from life. Set in early 1920s US.

Kind of sadder than I need it to be due to the personal stories, but the basic concepts are very helpful.

I ADORE Dennis E Taylor and the narrator Ray Porter! So far, this book is interesting and funny. I don't know if it will beat his last one as that was nearly everything I wanted in a novel, but this seems fun and science-y and exciting and gripping.

Really good book so far, discussing how society and even professionals view grief as something to "get through" when really it is something to be carried.

Neat narration coming from the "author", who promises not to use the typical tricks of murder mysteries. Loving it so far. Funny and interesting.

Picked this up because Sedaris loved his work and him as a person. So far, I am really enjoying his humorous and thoughtful essays. Different from Sedaris in that he reveals his feelings and thoughts more often.

Listening to Michael Ian Black read this novel has been hilarious. Heathcliff is a royal jerk and I do not know why he is so praised as a character...unless something happens here towards the end that I don't know about yet. I expected more ghosts....
