Such slow going! This is the sort of book that takes forever to read but you know is going to be worth it.

The language is beautiful but my gosh they fell in love quickly. If you can forget that (and the ever-present sex jokes) it's a good story.

It's slow going every so often. But I like Jack. He's nice and believable and LIKEABLE.

Not needing translation much. W.S. writes well. Can't wait to find out if R&J is really as great as portrayed. Random sex jokes. Typical.

seriously, the only way I've gotten through this is because it's a short stories collection. at the moment, it's getting 2 1/2 stars.

I have homework and exams, so forgive me. I've only read about one book this week, and no writing. I have a talent for shocking myself.

Uncle Dobbin's Parrot Fair-- okaaaayy... but with reservations. You can tell this was his first.

Ha! I was right! Not sure how it'll work out, but I'm glad Donia got what she wanted, and Keenan redeemed himself at the 11th hour, so... :)

This is certainly a page-turner. I don't quite like Keenan because he's selfish and seems to love two girls at the same time, but...

And Grams doesn't talk with Ash to sort this all out? The 'mother' thing isn't as big a twist as it's intended to be.

Why is she so courageous all of a sudden? What's with the cheek kiss? And why has Marr not said anything about Ash's thoughts and feelings?

Ah, so that's why she had to drink the wine. I'm beginning to lose my sense of what is Aislinn, and the 'rules' still escape me.

DON'T DRINK THE WINE. That is Fairy 101! I can't believe Aislinn did that.

Either way, everybody has to be nicely paired off because that's the kind of book this is. Just to finish that previous thought.

Either Seth and Donia end up together or Ash becomes queen but not Keenan's wife. Still, how will they solve the Seth-is-mortal dilemma?

a) I'll just pretend to myself that they're not related. b) Telepathy? c) Daisy IS similar to Cassandra Mortmain, but shallower.

The 'rules' are a little sketchy, but that might just be my inattention. And I'm in love with Seth, which means he's not flawed enough.

Wow, this is interestingly-written. But I'm used to it now. Incidentally, the capitalisation style reminds me a little of E.M. Delafield...

Characters seem good so far. The scene after she gets vamped is bewildering, and so is the way we find out that a year has passed.

It's pretty good so far. This probably means that I'm bad at spotting bad books, since some reviewers reckon it sucks.

I can't believe she didn't get a punishment for breaking those threads!
