Jei galvojate, kad univero literatūros neužskaitysiu savo skaitymo iššūkiui, tai labai klystate. (I'm very behind my goals)

He just throws a bunch of ideas and claims and then quotes Joyce or Shakespeare and casually predicts AI and I'm just about 90 pages in. Wtf is gonna be said next.

Can't remember the last time I was having so much fun reading a book. Can I take a day off to just curl up in my bed and keep on reading this? Very intrigued.

I forgot romance novels existed and I don't know how I am supposed to feel about this one. It's so bland? Some parts are almost beautiful but then they just feel straight up pretentious? Anyway, halfway through, I have no idea where this is going because it feels like everything that needed to be said in this book has already been said, so there better be a plot twist or something. 😴

I want to read something that I probably never read. Like, I can try other things than just essays written by troubled women, right? Right?! Let's see if I can.

A girl is a half-formed thing, as are her sentences. It's moved me quite a bit and I'm not even halfway through. Thinking about my half-formed self 10 years ago.
Compliments to the author.

I'm thoroughly enjoying this! It's so gripping that it's easy to forget you're reading non-fiction but the events and the people are treated with such dignity, I am in awe of how well this is written. AND I am learning so much.

So far this is so bad. Cliché upon cliché, it reads like one of those YA books I would have read at the age of 14 and thought it was the deepest shit ever written. It makes me wonder what's the target audience for this, though. Maybe it actually is for teenagers and I'm the clown here for hoping to see something a bit more challenging.

Reading this book while spring is in full bloom? I am not sure if I'm sniffling because of allergies or because I'm nearly crying. I mean, how beautiful these love letters are! Damn.

The trouble with happiness in Ditlevsen's world is that happiness is out of reach. Constantly.

Slow progress with the second story. Don't know where this is going but I guess it's somewhere sad.

'He had been quiet then, his father's story and its sadness sinking into him, past his heart and down to his intestines, a leaden anvil, and, remembering this, he felt the same sorrow, this time spreading through his body as if it were something that had been injected into his bloodstream.' Wow, the characters in Book I ('Washington Square') were actually insufferable. But you can't deny that Yanagihara writes so damn masterfully, I'd actually read a microwave manual if it was written by her. Excited for the remaining two stories, though.

How is this written by the same man who wrote The Unbearable Lightness of Being?
I feel like this is a good book for a book club run by men who speak to you with a condescending tone in their voices.

Šiaip skaityti yra didelis malonumas, bet Bulgakovą skaityti yra visiškai atskiros rūšies malonumas. Nieko naujo čia nepasakiau.

I feel like this book is calling me uncultured in all possible ways, and at first I was kind of into it, but now I just hope I can get through it asap because I don't want to be reading this for literally one year. A small book! Ridiculous. It's interesting but I have to use Google a lot. And I'm a fan of Obrist so no shade to him. It's just a lot to take in for a peasant like me.
