The plot is really all over the place in this one, though it is better than the first one. The idea that a kid doesn't have any friends (is he in school???) and is therefore vulnerable to an ancient old man's (why did the mother even keep him around???) brainwashing via his great-grandfather's journal that really doesn't say much is a bit far-fetched. Love Jory, though. Jory for the win.
