Starting again. 😅 maybe this time I'll finish it before a year passes.

The narrator is so selfish in this book I can't get over it. I might be high and mighty thinking I'm morally above him and wouldn't do the same if I was in his situation but I really don't agree with his decisions so far. To get rid of one thing from THE WORLD to live ONE more DAY? It just feels like such an unbalanced deal (the devil, I get it) he really should die. Don't screw the world over for yourself for 1! day

This is the first Disney retelling I've read and it's for one of my favorite movies. Some of it feels a bit ridiculous like why is Prince Eric cursed? Was this really necessary? But it's a fun read so far and I do like it. I'm also heavily invested in the politics of Eric's kindgom and how that's going to be effected when he ends up with Ariel, which is not a point I thought I'd be so stuck on but here I am.

I kept wanting to read this. I own a copy but it took freaking daily Dracula to get me started. I'm enjoying it so far! Tell me what other misfortune and ridiculous lizard fashion awaits you my god friend, Jonathan.

This book is exactly what I've been craving. The vampire stories of the 2000s, while I loved them as a teen, always felt like they were missing something. I would've killed to see myself better represented in those stories and to see more stories like these back then!

This book is just what I needed. Something light and fun but still full of heart. I love all the fuss about the wedding and learning about the different Indian traditions. As someone who also lost a parent to cancer when they were young, I was spooked to see so much of my own life reflected in Mini's and her family's.

Hesse is such a brilliant writer. She keeps giving me chills in the best way.

Another high stakes adventure with space bffs, Sanity and Tallulah! At times the scifi jargon can be too much and I lose focus but then I switch to looking at a delightful image of Tallulah befriending space bees and continue.

I missed Victor and crew so much! I still think Eli is crazy even with his tragic backstory. The POV shifts and time jumps are a little bit harder to keep up with this time around with all the additional characters. I think Marcella is a terrifying badass. I can't wait to see how everyone fits together. I'm enjoying the book so far and I'm excited to read every time I pick it up.

I always get worried about how seriously Harley is going to be taken, but Stjepan is doing a great job so far. The art compliments the words so well and creates these interesting dynamics. I love it so far!
