"This is the first Disney retelling I've read and it's for one of my favorite movies. Some of it feels a bit ridiculous like why is Prince Eric cursed? Was this really necessary? But it's a fun read so far and I do like it. I'm also heavily invested in the politics of Eric's kindgom and how that's going to be effected when he ends up with Ariel, which is not a point I thought I'd be so stuck on but here I am." — Jul 11, 2022 12:23PM

“O Romeo, Romeo, wherefore art thou Romeo?
Deny thy father refuse thy name, thou art thyself thou not a montegue, what is montegue? tis nor hand nor foot nor any other part belonging to a man
What is in a name?
That which we call a rose by any other name would smell as sweet,
So Romeo would were he not Romeo called retain such dear perfection to which he owes without that title,
Romeo, Doth thy name!
And for that name which is no part of thee, take all thyself.”
