I’m struggling. I want to DNF this, but I LOVE TJ Klune!!! It has been 100 pages of repetitions. There’re a few clues sprinkled around, about what’s happening, & I think I know what TJ wants me to think… I am sticking with it ‘cause I want to know, but I am so annoyed by Mike&Sean and the constant repetitions… “the corners of his eyes are crinkled” was repeated 3 times in a single page!

Book 1 was so bad I needed to read book 2!

I am struggling with this one. I read a lot of fantasy, but I just can't suspend my disbelief when a pastor has enough money to buy his wife a yacht for her birthday! I might have to DNF

I went into this one completely blind, so I have no idea what this is going to be about... The book hooked me from the first page, but the first 2 chapters are so filled with repetitions that if it was not TJ Klune I would have DNF, or skimmed until something happened! I hope there is a reason for it, and it's not poor editing!

I went into this book expecting a filler, something to keep the reader busy before the Faction Wars on Level 9. But I am really enjoying the story so far, maybe because of the Pokémon vibes? Maybe because, after all that happened in The Butcher's Masquerade, I needed a second to recover... Anyway, I am still hooked!

I can’t wait for this book to hit the shelves of my bookstore, so I can talk about it all day long!
I am 40 pages to the end and I’m LOVING it!

Omg this is SO BAD! Less empowering RH I will ever read. No one has a personality, all moves too fast and the s3x is not even h0t!!

Every single character that was introduced so far has a clear voice and it’s a great addition to the cast.

I can enjoy a cute RomCom with a Ray-of-Sunshine/Grumpy couple, but idk, Marine is getting my nerves.

This is a terrible sequel to the first book. I can’t imagine how the people who waited for this book after the first one felt.
