I think I need to wait for the audio of this . Can't get past chapter 1, tried for 3 days now.

Every time I read this series, I wish this building was real and that I could go there weekly to soak up the ambience.

So GR altered the 2024 challenge and now we can't see comments left on the thread...anyone else having this same issue?

I hate it! I tracked monthly reads this way and counted up books each month. Now I don't have access to that info.

Anyone know how to find the comments from the 2024 Challenge????

Has anyone else noticed GR putting books you've read in the past in your feed as if you've read them more currently. As an example, I went to my profile to see something and I noticed that it's filled with books I've read years ago, not books that I've just added to my shelves or just finished posting a review. Wondering if it's just me or if GR is doing something to make it seem like people are more active?

The last 2 years with covid I have done a lot of re-reading. As we are getting ready to enter year 3 of covid, I'm finding that I want to re-read those books I just did in year 1 of covid. The In Death series, the Others, a bunch of KA books, Virgin River. I know there are a lot of new books out there I should try out, but I feel pulled back to my favorites, despite just reading them.

Got my covid booster Friday, put me on my ass Saturday. Totally did not expect that, only had mild head aches with the first 2 shots. So much better today, was actually able to read (not even possible yesterday) and feel back to normal. Still glad to take the shot though.

In one of my groups today I posted a thread to a new recipe in a group I belong to. I like to post a link to the recipe for others to see if they are interested in making it. But GR wouldn't let me post the link, says it's no longer allowed to post links that are not GR.

Has anyone else run across this and if so, is there a work around???

I'm doing a re-read of the Fever series, last re-read was over 5 years. The first thing I noticed is that even though these books are that old, they seem like with the tech talked about, phones, ipods, etc. While I still like the books I don't know if I would still rate then so highly if I was just reading them again for the first time or since my last re-read.

I'm doing a re-read of The Hallows series by audio right now. I'm on The Outlaw Demon Wails and the narrator is different and I hate her, which makes me not like the book as much. I hate how she voices Jenks and how she mispronounces so many words.

I really hate the heroine's name, to the point that every time they say it, I find myself rolling my eyes.

Been doing a lot of re-reading since Covid-19, 11 different series. I'm thinking my next one will be the In Death series, my last one was in 2016. On the upside, there are a lot of books to keep me entertained. 🤣😝🤩

Hopefully I can get them all done before #51 comes out in September.

I usually read this series on release day or at least release week, have the audio pre-ordered, but no audio so far and no news on if/when it will come, so I'm having to break down and read this one. I love the narrator of the series I'm afraid I won't like the book as much reading it versus listening to it.

This one is breaking my heart. I want Iris to tell August what is going on, I know he would stand by her and help. But before that can happen I fear things will get worse for her.

I don't feel like doing anything today. Not reading, not watching tv, not cooking/baking, not cleaning, not going out to shop. I think I need someone to come over and entertain me.

Just went through my not release shelf. Took off 80 books, most of them I added years ago, so many years ago and the don't seem to ever be coming. I realized for some of them I really didn't care, for others I was sad. Found 2 that had been released and I missed it.

I can see this one is going to be a bit tricky to read. To figure which Anne is where, but either way I love the time that Anne spends with her Grandfather.

Doing something really rare for me. Giving a dnf book another try. My main reasoning for this is how in Still of Night the author laid out how all of his series are connected, same world, just different time periods. This one is the aftermath of zombies coming to life.
