I'm doing a re-read of The Hallows series by audio right now. I'm on The Outlaw Demon Wails and the narrator is different and I hate her, which makes me not like the book as much. I hate how she voices Jenks and how she mispronounces so many words.

I feel like this was a big deal at the time. The voice switch. Or maybe Kate Daniels? One of them.

I remember not being happy when the book came out and every time I do a re-read I still feel the same way.I know the Kate Daniels series, the authors warned when the narrator changed, but they did it when the story focused on different character as the main, so it made sense there.
In the Harry Dresden series, there is one book that James Marsters didn't narrate and people went crazy, it's annoying. But I get it, something happens and the main narrator is busy and they want the audios out at the same time of the book/e-book release.
