I don’t know why I’m doing this to myself. It’s just as much of a slog as I thought it would be. Just getting past the language is a challenge for me. I recently watched the Netflix version of Frankenstein (nominated for Best Picture) and had a really hard time getting through it. Turns out, it follows the book pretty spot on. Nothing like the original 1931 film.

This was required reading in high school, and I remember enjoying it. I am finding myself pretty bored with this re-read. Not sure whether to push through and hope something interesting happens or just move on to a different book.

Man, I’m bored. Is there a plot?

I’m familiar with and enjoy the movie. The book is pretty spot on with what I know from the movie, but the book seems to be moving pretty slowly. There is no plot yet, but the author is doing a good job of making me hate every pretentious character introduced. Ready for the murdering.

This book is WAY more taboo than the other similar book I read a few months ago
