Had to return this to the library, but I will definitely get it again later. I've been an LIW buff since third grade and have read everything I could find. This study had some fascinating broader historical aspects to it, which was very helpful. Shocked at how anti-suffragette and women's rights she was!

Do you know the movie Airplane? Where Lloyd Bridges keeps saying, "I guess I picked the wrong week to quit smoking," etc.? Well, I guess I picked the wrong week to read this book, which deals with a woman mourning the death of a good friend. On the other hand, when would be a good time to read it? And it's Elizabeth Berg, I already like the characters I've met, so I'll persevere.

Can you tell I'm having trouble getting into this one?

Actually just started this today -- had to wait until someone else at my house had finished it -- but already I'm hooked. Maybe because I already know Claire from the first book, but this time she feels like an old friend and I'm anxious to get reacquainted!

I think I'm giving this one more day. So far nothing has happened and I'm running out of patience!
