I recall reading this a few years ago and enjoying it. However, I don't remember the book well enough to give it a fair rating. Having said that, I figured I'd give it another shot.

Wow, the first one was great, but this one is much better in my opinion. It's definitely a lot more darken brutal, but also, there's a hell of a lot more going on. For instance, it's on the brink of Civil War, and all three of the siblings are on opposite sides. I wish the third of the trilogy were out. Awesome job, Mr. Staveley.

An interesting premise, for sure. However, I don't know if it's because I've been reading books with action from pretty much the beginning; but I'm finding this book a little difficult to get into. It's luckily starting to pick up the pace. We'll see what happens.

Not too far into this, but since I was adding a couple books anyway, I figured I'd just put my progress in here.

I read the prequel for this quite a while ago and decided to reread it yesterday evening so that the events would be fresh in my mind. Let's see how this one compares. Considering I am slightly less than a quarter of the way through, it's pretty good so far.

Pretty interesting. A decent amount of action as well.

Nothing too complicated, but you definitely get an up close and personal view of his military training. He's in the midst of his first combat Mission. Seems so far like a fun read.

I must admit, I'm stalling to read this next part. Tynisa found out a little less than halfway through the book that Tissamon is her father. There's no acknowledgment from him at all, and she's about to confront him on the matter. I'm unsure if the discomfort stems from the touchy-feely, emotionally driven nature of the scene or what.

Well, that was on. Not sure why it didn't save my percent when I updated my progress about a half hour ago. Well, my last update still stands, but I'm finished with 63%.
