I enjoy novels based on real persons. The author's notes at the end described her research and sources, but didn't follow the real life of the main or supporting characters. While I enjoyed the story, I would have liked to see a closer resemblance to the real Deborah Samson.

An excellent book. Meticulous research and well written, it reads like a novel telling the story of how the Wright Brothers built the first air plance.

I keep setting this book aside in favor of other books. I will finish eventually.

I didn't finish the book because I didn't like it and was not sufficiently interested to finish.

Not enjoying the book. I probably won't finish it. It's too much of the same -- one tragedy after another -- with no meaning to any of it.
