drama...skimming....it's a bit much

- Val's apparently working all the time with no time to sleep...but I'm yet to see him actually at a job or doing much training...and yet he "keeps his weekends free to wonder to the shops????
Val picks Ashton up from a party and he suddenly has changes of clothes available - they go the gym, work out for 2 hours and then have a shower and put the same clothes back on???
I keep dropping out and raising my eyebrows

Soooooo - I love this writer.....but this book needed a few more read through's/editing. The continuity errors keep pulling me out

So lame how long this has taken me to get around to reading it.
Enjoying it - such a diversion from my usual trashy romance reads - trying to be a grown up and read some more Charlotte Wood

This is a hard slog, not entirely pleasant and it's not just the torture stuff. The writing is over done, explaining everything to the nth degree, melodramatic and crammed with details and explanations of characters feelings or intentions as if the writers can't trust you to 'get it' for yourself. I keep putting it down and then picking it back up just to be done with it.....that's not really how this should go ..

I think I am tiring of the romance tropes rolled out in most of these books. ...plus this one needed a few more rounds with an editor

Uuurgh ... i have a feeling this is going to be a hard slog. Cringe-worthy setup ticking boxes on the tropes ....writing to fit a definite market

....this is not the best read for hormonal me but I can't look away.
Have to keep ducking over to the blog to ensure there where happy times after this (phew, they are nice to him sometimes!)

Ohhhh this is going to be a hard one.
The angst, the heartbreaking lonliness that he's going through while surrounded by people. He isn't sharing and talking and so they don't know what he's going through so instead it comes across as a pity party about the alcohol

really enjoying this!

I am trying soooo hard not to spoiler myself. I always read ahead or check the ending but I'm not this time (big pats on the back).
I'm really enjoying this - loving the mind fuck loving the duplicity

I am at the Chrisso bit - why oh why are they suddenly at church??? Is this to placate the christan ladies reading a bit of gay smut??? Has taken me right out of the story. Already feeling like the dialogue is a bit off at times and this bit just makes me go – yep, written by a lady
