This is a first: A series, that is a better read in the German translation than in the original English version, which is unfortunately full of errors. I keep being slightly mad while reading. What a shame the author didn't have this decently edited.

So far I noticed a few too many grammatical errors (terrible translator or plain laziness?), as well as a few too many incorrect information. research could have been better given that each chapter is very short anyway.

While authors like Nalini Singh weave love stories and create heroines my heart goes out to, Ms. Hamilton's book consists of strange sex orgies starring the weirdest creatures fantasy has seen and a heroine I couldn't care less for. Furthermore I am not a huge fan of fights that include splattering organs.
