Last chapter hit hard and brought up old feelings about the dance community and the widespread toxicity surrounding it. Sad it can leave such a bitter taste in your mouth when you spent so much time in your life contributing to this art form but it made me so thankful for Griff and I’s silly little dance parties that have helped me heal in recent years similar to Nia’s experience with reclaiming dance for herself

Thought it was time to bust out Phyllis’ gift nearly 7 years later. I think this book is already speaking to what I need to hear right now. “Engineering isn’t about perfect solutions; it’s about doing the best you can with limited resources”
