Reread books!!!! I just read this last year yet I barely remember anything about it.

Enjoying this way more than the first time I attempted it but it still bothers me that they're making games in the 90s that feel more like indie games from the 2010s.

Not to be pedantic but Persona didn't really have the cultural cache that this novel suggests it had in the late 90s. The way it's written about sounds more like Persona 3 onwards.

Always interesting to see how historical events are covered in books that only tangentially mention them. Gavin describes the entire country of Afghanistan as al-Qaeda's "headquarters" which is just so wrong in a lot of ways.
