“I threw her the horns, as we called it” has to be one of the cringest lines ever, and there were already plenty of cringeworthy ones before that... I get that Sando doesn't know the metal world hence why he got a musician to co-author the book but it makes no sense at all for the protagonist to overexplain his own universe. This feels too much like Counterculture for Dummies, the rest better be EXCEPTIONAL >.<#

The premise is interesting but that description of Nina is so not it. In fact, I had no idea Ash Bishop was a cis man until I read how he wrote her. The male gaze might lead to a dnf, it's that bad...
