Man…. Can someone just give this girl a hug? Don’t get me wrong I’m a huge fan of fucked up stuff, but this one is really missing the mark for me. Something I hate in “dark” novels is when it’s just…. Like a barrage of abuse and trauma. It makes it get super old, repetitive, and kind of dreary (in a boring way- rather then exciting)
Some balance with tenderness and aftercare would be much appreciated.

Im so glad to be re-reading this series. I’m appreciating it in an entirely new way since my first read through of it was immediately following ACOTAR, I skimmed over a lot of stuff waiting for the parts that made me feel like it was more ACOTAR. I didn’t appreciate it for what it was, as it’s own series. Really really glad I’m doing this re-read. She types as 3am approaches 😅😅

Boy. Have I ever been pronouncing the title of this book wrong.

I’m trying to like this one but it’s real hard. There’s not much plot and severely lacking smex scenes. I also and taking this one in through audio book and the women’s voice does notttttt work for a young woman, so I wonder if that’s affecting my enjoyment of the book or not.

I swear I’d remembered seeing this book recommended on a horror page. But as I look now it’s erotica. But it definitely has like some horror undertones? Or maybe I’m making that up. Idk but I’m super into it while simultaneously questioning my sanity.

Just getting back into this book after having taken a break to read all of ACOTAR… I really really like the series but the author keeps just hinting a romance and not actually giving us any and it was driving me nuts. I think I would be a lot more enamoured if there was something there actually delivered upon.

I gotta say, I wasn’t sure what to expect from this book. It started off strong but I wasn’t immediately convinced it was going to be as epic as people have been saying. Holy fucken shit was i ever wrong. I am HOOKED. The complexities of the characters, the atrocities of war, the masterful crafting of the world is so thorough and consistent. This book is stunning. Flawless. Can’t wait to read on.

Whatever, I’m sucked into this series for smut and smut only. Though there isn’t nearly enough of it so far to distract me from the terrible writing. The story has a lot of potential so I’ll give it that but the writing just seems so amateurish.

I’m really mad right now because I just remembered the opening with the “man” fucking and the message from the stars and I think danni is actually going to turn into a hunter and (usually I wouldn’t be because I love main characters experiencing insolvable pain and sorrow) I’m super pissed about it

I hate how barons is drawn but I likes the story! And I liked the visual of Barrons in beast mode and the drawings of the unseelie.

This story is amazing, but there are so many spelling and grammar errors that are just, very obvious. It annoys me because I’m really enjoying the book but the publisher/editor really messed up. A “learned” jacket instead of a leather one, a “tin power” instead of a “ton of power” and even misspelling of one of the main characters names. Katherine vs Catherine.
Great book but disappointing editing

I have been just absolutely devouring books this year. I have this unquenchable thirst it seems for fantasy and romance driving me do devour so many titles.

It feels good. I recently ordered the first book of many fantasy series in the tops of the good reads recommendations. Can’t wait to get into them!

I love these characters so much.
Osrick, mustard and lu. Auren and Slade. Their dynamics fill me with so much warmth. I love this series. I miss sail.

Page turner. I was surprised not to find myself missing snowman but the new characters are so delightfully interesting.

So fucken good so far. Geniusly written. I’m on the edge of my seat
