When it's first person narrative, why the use of random italics for sentences that are just as much the thoughts of the heroine as the ones without? I don't see the point.

I was never really in for love triangles, especially the ya kind but I am apparently doing this. I highly enjoyed You Say It First in the audio version, so I am trying out more from Katie Cotugno - maybe I should have gone with one of her others though.

I have always had an aversion concerning wolfish love stories -- here i'm not sure if my problem is the slowly blossoming love triangle, the instalust and jumping into it relationship between Liv and Ricky or just the foreboding feel to their whole connection. I did not point out in the last book, but here in the third installment I am getting very irritated with the fact that the writer felt the need to reharse everything that happened in the first two books. I can understand the need in the first 50 pages but this installment's size is partly due to Lady Darby remarking at every possible time how Sir Anthony made her do the dissections and such. We get it, all right?

This is better than I anticipated. Due to some past experiences and family history, I am always interested in books that reference single parents raising their children, especially if it is estranged partners or divorced couples. Romance novels are a safe choice with this topic because the endgame is always good for the kid and I love to see the approches writers have toward these parenting issues and their impact.
