Chapter 26.

Dinner with the folks. And I can’t help but “sqweeeee” because it’s just so cute, awkward, lovely and terrifying!

Chapter 8 and I am slightly obsessed with these characters. 🥰

Sitting reading this and I just have a girly “arrghhhhhhh” squeal at this point.
Gotta love a first angst-filled kiss!

Oh, be still my breaking heart. I’m LOVING book number three!


"Renee said you refused our knives. A murder magnet like you shouldn't walk around unarmed."

"I'm not," Neil said. "I thought you were going to watch my back this year?"

Every now and then I come across a passage that I just adore:

“But fate is a funny thing. It weaves its threads through the loom with steady hands. At first, the result is seemingly a distorted mess, but if one can wait long enough, the full picture comes into focus, the threads tightly intertwined, strong and true.”

Constantly smiling at the dialogue in this book:

“Sore. So sore.”
“You did drink a lot.”
“Why didn’t you stop me?”
“Ah, let’s think,” I say. “Maybe because you’re a grown man who knows how much he can handle and should be able to control himself.”
“It’s like you don’t know me at all.”

So funny and heartfelt, loving it xxx

I just fancied some rejected mate alpha-ness. No idea why but I’ll let you know the verdict….

Well, ahem. This was- well- it was exactly what I thought it was going to be!!

Kinky, discovery, taboo and fun in that respect.

Short but naughty would be the best way to describe it.

Just finished chapter 18 and I’m crying like a baby!

This guy is such a dick!! I should have DNFed ages ago but it’s somewhat amusing. I wonder what threatening masterpieces he’ll come out with next….

‘Go fuck a corpse, and while you’re at it, turn into one before I find you.’

“Eyes on me if you don’t want to be in for a bloodbath instead.” 🤣🤣

This was surprisingly great!

It’s no literary classic but I really enjoyed it. Super engaging, witty, great characters, ok- maybe a little predictable- but I still devoured it!

I think I’d even go so far as to recommend it to others; when you fancy something light hearted and hot!

I already really like the tone of the story. Woohoo. High hopes…

I adore the tone of this book. I’m just smiling constantly… 😁

I bloody love Claire!!!! Nothing quite like a strong, determined woman who takes no shit! Great stuff already.

It just tickles my funny bone:

“We’re not killing anyone today,” Vic told her.

“Tell that to the squirrel,” Nurse Ratched said. “Oh. Wait. You cannot. Because it is dead.”

I am loving these characters. This just made me chuckle:

“Good. We’re playing Monopoly,” Emma replied. “Why didn’t you use the back door?”

Leave it to my kid to use a gay sex reference at a time like this. Just kill me now.

I love Jack already:

“I believed happiness was a choice. Every morning when I woke up, I chose happiness. I spent enough of my formative years around negativity that I made a conscious choice years ago to be a beacon.”

I’m really enjoying the different narrative of this book. It’s refreshing in lots of ways.

Totally invested- which probably means I’ll be terrible at my job today!! 🙃🙃🙃

I haven’t read 1 or 2 in the series and am jumping in at number 3. Am I going to be lost?!

I’m really enjoying this.

It’s a fairly usual M/F story in some ways but completely unique in others.

I’m loving the potty-mouthed 6 year old, the sexual tension and the relationship build up. I’m not a fan of a lot of miscommunication and this book has kind of absorbed me this weekend so I’ve been incredible unproductive!! I’m a happy gal though xx

The woman beside me darted a look up at my sombrero—which was taking up a significant amount of space—before quickly glancing away.

“I brought burritos,” I explained.

I carried a watermelon.

Belatedly, I realized this didn’t really explain my presence since there were no burritos on my person.

I loved the first 50% but now we’re knee deep in fluff! I don’t mind a bit of fluff and if you’re a fluff favourer- then you’ll love this.
But my earlier proclamation of ‘go and buy this now’ is on the back burner.
Still super enjoyable though. X

I’m not even halfway through this book and already I’m telling you to go and get it!!!

It’s so bloody good!

I love this MC, it make such a difference when you’re reading from the POV of a characters that you actually like!
