When I first started reading this book, I was sure I would really like it. Maybe I’m (naively?) optimistic, but I actually did! The farther I get, however, the less I like it.

I can’t tell if Xander is too pretentious or perfectly quirky. Either way, I like him. In his honor, I eat this scone. Also, I found a typo on page 32.

A little slow so far

I don’t know if I can keep reading this. It’s making my stomach hurt.

Also, I DO believe her, I think she is Brock Turner’s victim. The problem is, I don’t completely blame the guy quite yet. If she was the only one drunk, I would hate him, but they both were, so what does that mean?

I really want to understand, because honestly, I strongly support the statement: “Believe women.” But I’m super confused- my issue is not with her drinking, it’s with his. She has already established it was wrong and I never disagreed to begin with, but what if /he/ was completely inebriated too?

The thought of a human connection was exhilarating, but as soon as it happened, I was over it. I don’t care for any of the romance between them. It just seems like an annoying intermission that never ends.

I made the mistake of looking up the movie. Ruined my mental image of Winston, O’Brien, Julia, and Oceania. Pain.

Was listening to the audiobook. At “I love you” I got a feeling in my stomach like the drop of the rollercoaster. Just because it was so unexpected.

The only reason I haven’t given up on this book is because I spent $7 on it on Audible.

I don’t know about this man. All these characters are annoying.
